Family of Jehu J. Towson and Mary E. Walker

Jehu Towson Sr. was likely the Jehu J. Towson who married Mary E. Walker September 18 1851 (source). The couple had at least the following children: William W. (born June 7 1852), James H. born October 1854, Jehu F. born November 1858, and Ella O. (born August 1861), who married George W. Smith (born July 1870). Jehu Jr. and Ella were listed in the household of their brother James H. Towson in the 1900 Census.

William W. Towson married Annie Proctor (born December 18 1852). She was the daughter of John Proctor and his wife Rebecca (born about 1815). They had at least one more child, James H. Proctor, born about 1848. William and Annie had five children: Blanche Carmichael, William W.J. Proctor, Mary R., and Bertha May (whose married name was Mrs. William H. Taylor, married 30 Aug 1899, later divorced).

James H. Towson married Virginia Sarah Eagle (born August 1855) on November 1st 1881 at the Presbyterian Church in Hampden, Baltimore. They had four children, including: James Wilbur, Mary Virginia and Lillian O.

Jehu F. Towson was born November 1858. He was married in about 1890 to Mary A. Corbett (1868-1917), with whom he had three daughters: Marie LouiseNellie Dean, and Evelyn Blanche.

Ella O. Towson was born August 1861. She married George W. Smith in about 1893 and had at least 2 children who died in childhood, including George F. and a stillborn baby.
